Having lived and worked in East Anglia since my teenage years my art is firmly rooted in its landscape. The sense of infinite possibility and mystery which this landscape offered me as a boy has always stayed with me and is reflected in my approach to my work. I am constantly aware of the weather in East Anglia, partly because of its vast skies and low horizons and partly through my interest in growing things.

My wife and I ran a very small smallholding for many years where we raised sheep, pigs and two children and this direct engagement with the natural world makes me conscious of just how big a part it has played in my life. I am an old-fashioned printmaker at heart, making
etchings, monotypes and relief prints but I also enjoy exploring the possibilities which newer technologies can offer.

Highlights from my CV include: work with The Contemporary Art Society; The Royal Society Of British Artists; Antwerp Expo, Belgium; International Print Biennial, Varna, Bulgaria; Installation at Ipswich Museum for Ipswich Borough Council; consultancy for The National Trust, Sutton Hoo.

I have also exhibited extensively in East Anglia and have been a member of Sudbourne Park Printmakers for a very long time.
