Cherry Sandford

After studying Fine Art at Portsmouth Polytechnic, Cherry gained a BSc in Landscape Design and Conservation at the University of East Anglia. She then worked as a Landscape Designer for over 20 years, which now influences her approach to printmaking in the use of shape, colour and pattern.

As a dyslexic, art and creativity has always been particularly important to Cherry, in fact it was her saviour as a young person. Creativity has always been her motivator whether designing a landscape, wood carving or restoring a retro caravan.

Cherry first studied printmaking at the Curwen Print Study Centre, where she gained a certificate a Fine Art printmaking and then joined the printmaking group ‘5 Print’ with access to the Curwen for the next couple of years.

She is now delighted to be a member of Sudbourne Park Printmakers and to be in the company of such experienced and knowledgeable people will help her continue her journey in printmaking.
